Welcome to St. Raphaela’s Primary School Website. I hope this website will provide information for parents and pupils in a convenient manner, as well as providing a forum to share and celebrate our pupils’ achievements across all areas of their development: academic, social, creative, emotional and spiritual.
Over the past year our school has enjoyed great success having competed on the Gaelic and Hockey pitches; having represented our school at the RDS Young Scientist Competition; achieving the Discover Primary Science and Maths Award of Excellence; Student Council fundraising of over €3,000 for refugee families; winning the Camogie Shield in Croke Park in our very first year of competition; representing our school with great success at the Santry Track and Field Competitions. Alongside all of these wonderful achievements has been the continued excellence that our pupils have achieved academically, within a happy school environment provided by their teachers. We are a very proud school family and as a staff we are committed to providing an environment wherein each child will flourish academically, socially, creatively, emotionally and spiritually. Having experienced an education in St. Raphaela’s our pupils leave us filled with confidence, creativity, kindness and an awareness of God’s love for them.
The relationship between home and school is incredibly important in supporting each child to reach their potential, and I hope that as parents you will always feel free to share both concerns and celebrations of your daughter’s experience with us. Building a positive relationship with your child’s class teacher, who maintains an open door policy, will enhance your child’s experience in our school.
I would also encourage all parents to build links with each other, each class has a parent representative from the Parents Assocation who is committed to involving parents in the life of the school. Our Parent’s Association, led by Caroline Fox, is dedicated to enriching school life across the year. At the beginning of this school year we enjoyed a wonderful “Back to School” party and I know they are preparing a welcome reception for the parents of our Junior Infants.

Thank you for the wonderful support you have shown since the beginning of September and I look forward to meeting with you throughout the school year.
